Round 2 Entry

Must have spent 8 solid hours working on these. They went through more reincarnations than the Dali Lama! A lot of the versions were pretty ugly but I find that if you keep pushing eventually you will get to something that feels right.

Went and bought one of those Dover clipart books - now they come w/CDs so yay, no scanning. That's how I got the little scrolly thingies. The pink one was actually this stock photo close up of a ceramic jar - it had all this cool crazing. Also an overlay of lace and a boatload of blending modes.

The problem with Round 2 is all the entries look great so I don't know how the judges are going to make a decision!
